Progress is Exhiliarating
As this week ends, I can actually see some of my efforts coming to fruition. Some of you know that I have been working on getting a site together for my brother and it is up and running…doing pretty well, actually!
Checking Google statistics today I found his site at the # 3 spot on the first page in searching his name whereas I couldn’t find it a couple days ago. So, yeah, I’m feeling pretty good about that one!
Another bit of progress came when I actually submitted an essay to a magazine and will continue to send others at a rate of one per week. Also, I am trying to up my article submission to sites such as Helium and EzineArticles. The latter of which I have been away from for too long.
It had been a chore as I was doing some article marketing not only in my name, but a few pen-names as well. And though it was going okay, I became a bit bored with it. No real accomplishment felt.
So, this is how this blog became active as well as my other writing endeavors. Now, looking back at the first few attempts at certain online work I admit I am a bit embarrassed.
The first writings, blogs and articles that are floating out there on the web seem too silly to warrant any success. But I will let them ride and may go back to modify and revise at a later date. So I ask you, please be gentle with the comments on anything you come across on the web with my name attached.
It is such a learning process, but I feel so fulfilled in following this path. Using my attained skills and talents, and those yet to be gained, I am going to find my destiny by continuing to seek my goals.
Staying the course, as we’ve heard way too much and with negative connotation at times, is something that we must learn and adhere to with a driven patience. This may sound a bit off, but I find being patient with myself allows me to plow ahead with a vengeance.
As one of my new found favorite blog-osopher Walter stated, “Work on your dreams everyday despite the negative nagging of your mind, and believe me, you will achieve greatness.” Thanks Walter, I couldn’t have said it better!
Off I am to keep progressing! Though I know there will be off days (weeks), staying the course and plowing through the bad stuff will prove to find fruition and new moments of exhilaration!

Staying the course is a rather difficult endeavor in these times. We are so used to instant gratification that we often quit before there are any real results. Patience is a virtue indeed.
Hey, thanks for stopping by!

So true! Keeping movement in the direction of success will win. If you let it!
You’re absolutely right to say that it’s tough to stay on course sometimes. Perseverance will prevail. Like my favorite mentor used to say….if your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to meet it…and don’t stop until you get there.

Lisa, hello from Japan and thank you for your post. Yes, progress can be exhilarating and when that first rush of creativity stems from our deepest passion we always can find the motivation to keep going, no matter what the ups and downs. All the best to you! I also share your love of dogs. My dogs and cats and I live deep in the mountains of Japan, along with a host of wild animals who cross through this tumbling mountain garden. Although it is a world of natural beauty and wonder, it does get rudely interrupted, as I just wrote about in my latest blog post. I hope you will visit and take a look at the madness that erupts (unnaturally) on Mount Fuji. Looking forward to sharing perspectives with you from this part of the world – Catrien Ross.

Catrien, I too am looking forward to sharing perspectives. I have such an interest in Japan, but have only been there once. My son was there for several years and married a beautiful Japanese girl. They now live in Charlotte, NC in the USA, but hope to get back soon.
I had no idea about Mt. Fuji issues. Thank you for bringing it to the open for me as I will continue to read your posts on such.
Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now. Keep it up!
And according to this article, I totally agree with your opinion, but only this time!
